JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Sr. Network Engineer Location: Ebix Inc. 1 Ebix Way, Johns Creek, GA 30097 (Work from Office) Department: IT About the Role:- This position will be part of Ebix’s global hosting services group (HSG) supporting and maintaining production systems at Atlanta data centers • Production Infrastructure Support o Datacenter network,servers,storage system installation and hardware maintenance. Systems Implementation; installation and configuration o Build the inventory and environmental monitoring system o Implementing Change Management o Follow corporate standards and processes o Execute projects efficiently and follow through to completion • Network devices maintenance – Firewall, Router, Network Switches, Load Balancers, Routers, etc., o Design LAN and WAN network cross datacenters. o Familiar with Cisco, Checkpoint, Sonic wall configuration and maintenance. o Familiar with F5, Kemp, Cayote Point load balancer configuration. o Understand VPN technology, familiar with Site to Site VPN and SSL ,IPSec remote access VPN configuration. o Familiar with SNMP protocol o Familiar with LDAP and AD technology o Understand switching and VLAN configuration. • Experience supporting complex enterprise systems at least in one of the technologies o Java/J2EE o .net on windows. • Familiar with the following monitoring skills o Familiar with Linux shell script and MYSQ database and PHP script . o Understand Apache and Tomcat application monitoring o Strong scripting skill to create monitoring scripts for database, JMX, Java mailing system,Storage system. o Understand the open source tools ,such as Zabbix, open NMS, NASOS, OCS inventory , spice works etc. o Understand active directory and Domain controller. • Troubleshooting System errors and outages for the following environments o Windows, (including various flavors of Linux, ), Network Infrastructure o Maintain multiple HA environments o Logically analyze and solve problems o Familiar with httpwatch,wiresharek,tcpdump tools for trouble shooting . o Response to security attack events. o Risk analysis and mitigation Requirements: • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Be an independent self-starter and have the ability to multi-task. • An ability to prioritize tasks • Have a familiarity with Open Source tools • Familiar with virtualization technologies (VMWare, XEN, Hyper-V…) • Enjoy working independently or as part of a team. • Willing to work outside of normal working hours and participate in an on-call rotation. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in technology, or a complementary discipline
