Job Description

Responsibilities

Burwood is currently looking for experienced candidates to join our Network Operations team. This role will work collaboratively with client teams, Burwood’s Managed Services teams, and Burwood’s Professional Services teams to aid with architecting, engineering, managing, supporting, and upgrading the customer network environments.
This role gives you the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest infrastructure technologies, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Voice, and more. This role combines a strong passion for technology and outstanding customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing relationships with the client and familiarizing yourself with their systems in order to become a trusted advisor to aid them in their technology road mapping.
  • Designing and implementing new network solutions.
  • Analyzing and managing recommended changes to increase LAN/WAN reliability, scalability and security.
  • Conducting research, working with manufacturers and vendors, and defining system/user requirements with the clients for their technology needs.
  • Implementing, changing, and maintaining network and network security appliances in secure computing environments.
  • Analyzing root cause for issues using tools such as packet captures and Wireshark.
  • Mentoring junior members of the team in technology and process adherence.
  • Functioning as an escalation path for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Network Teams
  • Creating and reviewing KB articles
  • Drafting, reviewing, approving, and implementing Changes
  • Utilizing automation and orchestration platforms to reduce manual efforts
