Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Sr. Network Specialist to join an exciting team on-site located in Aberdeen, MD to provide technical and administrative support for the team’s mission, including: program management, meeting facilities, office environment, telecommunications, computer systems, and logistical services.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SR. NETWORK SPECIALIST:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant technical experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex enterprise-level network infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing information systems operations, including computer and telecommunications operations, data entry, data control, and network administration (LAN/MAN/WAN).
  • Strong skills in system-level design and configuration, including determining hardware, operating system, and platform specifications.
  • Proficiency in IPv6, routing, switches, and internet protocols.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Offer technical guidance for overseeing and managing information systems operations.
  • Develop, construct, and deploy network systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve network performance issues, and analyze traffic for capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with vendor support to ensure proper escalation during outages.
  • Oversee personnel and operations related to network facilities and communication equipment.
  • Handle the procurement, testing, installation, and maintenance of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems.
