Description
Salary Range: $105,898.00 - $132,372.50 Works under the general administrative direction of the Deputy Director of General Services and is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities relating to printing, mail, convenience cooper, maintenance on buildings, equipment, environmental and support equipment systems, and structures of an assigned facility. Plans and designs the Maintenance and Operation Policies and Procedures Manual and makes recommendations for revisions when needed. Manages the annual operating and CIP budget. Prepares and justifies periodic financial forecasts. Created and develops resolutions for City Council approval. Coordinates, plans, and assigns activities with other divisions with inter-related activities to ensure optimum efficiency. Prepares preliminary time and material cost estimates on proposed projects. Monitors and inspects building maintenance and remodeling projects to ensure timeliness, correctness, completion, and to ensure compliance with contract. Provides program oversight for all contracts, specifications, plans, and blueprints for construction/remodeling project and printing equipment. Supervises major repairs to mechanical and electrical equipment and determines when to recommend contractors for repairs. Develops and maintains Computer Center and other IT equipment critical systems. Implements and develops testing processes and procedures for building comfort and control systems. Coordinates and inspects buildings and equipment for safety hazards, fire inspections, maintenance needs, and ADA compliance issues and requirements. Develops and provides real time monitoring of security system. Reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Designs and supervises a preventative maintenance program for buildings and equipment. Maintains a cost effective and efficient facility emphasizing office support services, maintenance, and other functions required for day-to-day operations. Provides work direction, assignment of duties, evaluation of work performance, and discipline of assigned staff. Establishes and maintains a cooperative working relationship with employees, other department staff, management, vendors, and contractors as necessary. Responds to problems in a tactful and expedient manner. Travels to various meetings and work sites across the city. Creates and compiles various reports by utilizing various Microsoft applications. Interacts and communicates with vendors, management, and staff on a variety of issues and concerns.
