This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or Client office at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Client Payments technology team is looking for a Business System Analyst in Toronto. Payments Technology is responsible for development of technology strategy and delivery of payments initiatives, in alignment with industry mandates, internal business drivers, as well as business and technology Target Operating Model, to provide best in class payments solutions and user experience for our customers.
We are an experienced agile technology team, utilizing some of the latest technologies to build payments platform capabilities serving TD customers to move money from and to anywhere - reliably, transparently, securely, and efficiently.
Currently, we are working on several transformational initiatives focusing on Modernization and building new capabilities for our clients.
Some of the examples of our initiatives are Onboarding Commercial Customer to initiate Real-Time Rail, enhance Zelle (US instant Payment), Bill Payment customer experience, and overall move to ISO certification (ISO20022) data-enriched payment flows for various faster payments rails, unlocking future business opportunities, and moving beyond traditional banking channels.We are on a Modernization and Transformation journey, shaping up the Next-Gen Payments Ecosystem.

BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ Years of related experience
  • Excellent communications, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work with systems users or potential users to develop system specifications and requirements, applying business systems knowledge to ensure relevant areas of research are addressed
  • Ability to independently translate user requirements into technical specifications and non- functional requirements
  • Experience working with both waterfall and agile methodology
  • Experience working with SQL databases (i.e. queries, data analysis), REST APIs, MQ , Kafka
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and release management processe

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone to join as Senior Business System Analyst in Zelle and RTP technology team. As a Business Systems Analyst you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role leverages an in-depth understanding of both business processes and technology to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement systems that improve efficiency and achieve business objectives.

  • Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements using various techniques such as user stories, use cases, non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with other application technology teams and able to translate business requirement into technical specifications/ interface specification for development teams to implement.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives), fostering collaboration between stakeholders and the development team.
  • Refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
  • Analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the design of new solutions.
  • Ensure design leverages existing reusable components, traces back to business requirements, and that new modules are designed with reusability in mind.
  • Identify and address any issue that affects the integrity of the application (e.g. cross-capability/release issues).
  • Develops test plans and test case scenarios to guarantee the new system design meets business requirements
  • Ensure the vendor solution aligns with the business requirement, TD standard and integrates seamlessly with existing system
  • Work with Vendors, internal IT Infrastructure Teams, and Business partners on the remediation of audit findings and vulnerabilities to ensure adhere to TD’s security controls and standards.
  • Supporting the vendor or inhouse build solution after implementation, addressing issues, and ensuring system availability.
  • Help Troubleshooting production issues with vendor as a L3 support team member.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Required:
