Description We are seeking a highly experienced and Mechanical Pipefitter with a minimum of five years of hands-on work in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full scope of pipefitting duties, ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical piping systems in a variety of environments. Key Responsibilities Blueprint Analysis and Planning: Thoroughly review blueprints and or develop technical drawings, and project plans to determine job requirements and establish the best approach for installation. Collaborate with leadership and other team members to clarify specifications and resolve design challenges. Material Preparation: Select appropriate pipes, fittings, and material types based on project needs and standards. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using precise tools and techniques to ensure accurate fit and alignment. System Assembly and Installation: Assemble pipe sections, joints, and fittings, securing them using methods such as welding, brazing, soldering, gluing, or mechanical fastening. Install supports, hangers, and brackets to anchor systems safely within designated spaces. Integration with Mechanical Systems: Connect piping to pumps, compressors, valves, tanks, heat exchangers, and other equipment. Ensure all connections are secure and conform to regulatory standards. Testing and Inspection: Pressure-test and inspect completed systems using industry-standard methods to detect leaks, weaknesses, or malfunctions. Calibrate and adjust system components to achieve optimal performance and safety. Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnose issues in existing piping systems, such as corrosion, blockages, or faulty connections. Perform repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed to maintain proper operation and extend system longevity. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of work performed, including measurements, materials used, test results, and any issues encountered. Communicate progress and findings to supervisors and project managers. Safety and Compliance: Consistently adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Utilize protective equipment, follow procedures for hazardous materials, and participate in regular safety meetings and training. Work alongside others —such as electricians, welders, HVAC technicians, and construction laborers—to coordinate activities and ensure the smooth progression of multi-disciplinary projects. Customer Service: Occasionally interact with clients or facility managers to discuss job scope, provide updates, and address concerns regarding installation or maintenance work. Ability to multitask and travel between local facilities. Additional duties as required. Requirements Qualifications and Requirements Minimum 5 years of mechanical pipefitting experience in industrial, commercial, or construction environments. Pipefitter certification from a recognized institution or at least 5 additional years of relevant industry experience. Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and industry methods. Proficiency in using specialized pipefitting tools and equipment. Ability to interpret complex technical documents and blueprints. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Physical stamina to work in diverse conditions, including confined spaces and elevated platforms. Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Strong value for working safe. Qualifications Experience in manufacturing plants, facilities or similar environments Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Ability to read, develop, adjust and decipher project plans
