6+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer with main contractors in the UAE on high-rise and mid-rise building projects.
Bachelors degree in civil engineering.

Responsibilities
Actively support the Planning Manager in department functions and coordinate with project planners.
Develop and prepare the Baseline Programme as per contract requirements, ensuring logical sequencing of activities.
Prepare comprehensive Method Statements to accompany the Baseline Programme.
Create and manage various schedules aligned with the Baseline Programme, including [Submittals & Approvals Schedule, Material Procurement & Delivery Schedule, Subcontractor Appointment Schedule, Resource Histograms, Cash Flow Curve, Progress Curve, Major Plant and Equipment Schedule]
Develop and maintain interim programmes such as [Work Plans & Look-ahead Schedules (15/30 days), Detailed Programmes for specific work packages, Close-out Programmes for project handover]
Actively participate in subcontractor management, ensuring planning functions direct and control project activities to achieve overall targets.
Provide strategic direction on critical path activities, acceleration plans, and recovery strategies in coordination with the Project Manager and construction team.
Regularly track and record site progress, updating the Baseline Programme accordingly.
Monitor and ensure the timely appointment of subcontractors and material suppliers as per control schedules.
Conduct detailed Delay Analysis in collaboration with the Planning Manager and Commercial Department to assess and mitigate project risks.
Ensure compliance with the agreed programme and coordination schedules, particularly regarding approvals, submittals, and information flow.
Monitor subcontractor progress, manpower deployment, and resource utilization.
Conduct Subcontract Progress Meetings and Subcontractor Coordination Meetings with the construction team to resolve planning-related issues.
Integrate subcontractors’ schedules into the overall Baseline Programme and ensure alignment with project milestones.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports for management and stakeholders.
Identify potential schedule slippage and recommend corrective actions to the Project Manager.
Implement productivity tracking mechanisms, analyze labour productivity trends, and evaluate deviations with the Planning Manager.
Develop and maintain risk registers related to project scheduling and recommend mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company planning standards.
Utilize project management and planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to create, track, and update schedules efficiently.
Continuously improve planning processes, ensuring best practices in scheduling, monitoring, and reporting are implemented across projects.
