Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our trading systems while deploying single-cluster and multi-cluster services to Kubernetes environments. You will help maintain the reliability and resilience of our infrastructure, meeting the demands of a fast-paced trading environment.
You will collaborate closely with multiple engineering teams, including product engineering, infrastructure engineering, and technical operations, to design and implement monitoring and alerting solutions that improve system reliability and reduce operational toil. Additionally, you will work closely with technical leadership to ensure 99.95% uptime and high performance across the trading platform.

In this role you will:

  • System Reliability: Analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate production issues with a systematic problem-solving approach to keep revenue-generating systems up and running
  • On-call Rotation: Participate in a weekly 24/7 on-call rotation, including weekend assistance for deployments and checkouts before market opens on Sundays
  • Incident Management: Perform initial root cause analysis and remediation of production issues
  • Automation: Build tools to automate repetitive tasks, deployments, and incident responses to minimize human involvement
  • Observability: Collaborate with Product and QA teams to build reliable monitoring and alerting systems, establish and track SLIs/SLOs, and ensure the health and performance of web, mobile, desktop, and trading platforms
  • Feature Flag Integration: Standardize and improve the feature flagging system to enable incremental releases, A/B testing, and gradual feature rollouts across web, mobile, and desktop environments
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage IaC tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management for all platforms
  • Cross-Platform Collaboration: Work closely with product engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely feature delivery and platform-specific requirements are met, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
  • Security & Compliance: Implement best practices around security and compliance (e.g., SOC2, PCI-DSS) in the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring all deployments for web, mobile, and desktop platforms meet regulatory standards
