In this pivotal role, you will own the security posture of the organization while ensuring platform reliability. You will combine your skills in infrastructure security with hands-on contributions to maintain operational excellence. As the first dedicated security hire, you'll be instrumental in establishing processes from the ground up while collaborating closely with the SRE team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing company that values sustainability and innovation. \n Accountabilities Keep the platform reliable and secure by participating in on-call rotation and owning security incident response planning. Own the security posture and compliance by preparing for and passing security audits. Harden infrastructure by implementing principles of least privilege and driving network segmentation progress. Manage vulnerabilities systematically through an effective vulnerability scanning pipeline and triage process. Requirements 5+ years in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE with a strong focus on security. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security, including RBAC and network policies. Experience with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC 2. Strong cloud security expertise, preferably with GCP. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform. Ability to communicate complex security risks to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with CNCF security tooling and container security is a plus. Experience with Rust or Go is advantageous.
