TEAM OVERVIEW:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-evolving field of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in the financial sector? Our Policy team will recruit a new Senior Advisor - Climate to join our growing team. As a subject matter expert on climate change and environmental policy, the individual will be a key contributor to support EDC’s Net Zero by 2050 objectives and implementation of the organization’s Climate Change Policy.
The Senior Advisor will play a pivotal role to support the execution of EDC’s corporate strategy, coupled with the implementation and refinement of existing and future environmental policies and initiatives, in close collaboration with other EDC teams. The individual will have a high level of exposure across EDC’s lines of business and other risk functions. This role requires exceptional communication and influencing skills with a large network of internal and external stakeholders, to engage and consult on an array of technical climate related issues.
ROLE
The focus of this role is to lead the update and subsequent implementation of EDC’s climate change commitments through the provision of expert research, analysis and advice, as well as cross-team coordination and engagement. The Senior Advisor will lead and/or support the development, implementation and/or refinement of climate change-related policies, programs, procedures and initiatives, including those related to EDC’s applicable international reporting frameworks and sustainable finance program.
The Individual will contribute and may lead on the management of EDC’s various climate-related data monitoring requirements. Accordingly, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, adept at managing and adapting data systems and requirements, as well as presenting quantitative and qualitative information for internal and external consumption.
