Description
Assists manager with operation of work area and provides direction and guidance to staff PSG Technicians. Assists with scheduling patients and ordering CPAP equipment from DME companies for patients per physician's prescription. Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services or patient education. Sets up and calibrates all polysomnographic recordings and monitoring equipment. Applies sensors to patients, and initiates sleep recordings. Summarizes data from polysomnographic recordings, and provides routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Produces high quality polysomnographic recordings. Monitors quality assurance indicator(s). Performs CPAP compliance clinic and CPAP acclimation clinic. Education Non Degree Program Polysomnography Technology or EEG training Program Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy or related field of study Preferred Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required Experience 5 years experience in a sleep disorders center Required Licenses Basic Life Support Required Reg Polysom Required or Registered Sleep Techgst Required PA Respiratory Care License Preferred Reg Respiratory Therapist Preferred
