The Role As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, this position will give you broad exposure to several advanced applications, including EMS, GMS and ADMS. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact with our customers throughout and after their project lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams including Application Engineers, Architecture & Product Solution, and Software Development teams. Your Impact Lead projects in the PSE portfolio and serves as technical support expert. Support implementation of control systems at electric utilities. Participate in design, planning, and execution of projects requiring advanced applications. Support testing events with the customer. Work closely with functional development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes. Assist customers Interface with varying data sources to extract, translate, and utilize third party data in support of advanced applications functionality. Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirement specifications and test with customers. Support in training customers on how to operate the systems being delivered. Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues observed on live systems. What You'll Need Advanced graduate Degree in Power Systems discipline of Electrical Engineering Min 5 years of experience in a similar Application Engineering role; high level of experience in troubleshooting complex systems and software applications Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems Understanding of Electric Power Systems and modeling is preferred Strong background in Software Engineering Basic knowledge of databases and data warehousing Strong communication and organization skills Ability and open to travel with short notice AspenTech is a global software leader helping industries meet the increasing demand for resources from a rapidly growing population in a profitable and sustainable manner.
