QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically, bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or advanced degree and 5 years of direct experience.
  • Must have active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have Linux or Windows experience
  • Experience with Cisco WebEx and Desktop VTC systems.
  • Experience with SharePoint for managing content and workflows.
  • Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
  • Must have experience in one of the following: VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Scripting experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification)
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
  • In-depth working experience with Windows Server
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions – Centrify
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SMECP, and/or Exchange

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Linux Server management to include installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Windows Server management fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • SharePoint administration to include creating and managing sites, sharing settings, managing groups, and managing site storage limits.
  • Work extensively with SharePoint to support content management and collaboration needs.
  • Plan, design, and implement changes to Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Exchange administration to include user management, configuring mail flow, implementing security measures, and troubleshooting issues within the environment
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Support and troubleshoot the VTC system
  • Provide advanced support on L3/L4 tickets and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users
  • Provide technical guidance on implementation, integrations, and upgrade initiatives
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
  • Install and move equipment as necessary.
