POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center construction and a proven track record of developing robust procurement strategies for large-scale projects exceeding $1 billion.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on data center construction projects.
  • Proven experience developing procurement strategies for projects exceeding $1 billion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • This position requires regular travel to our Lenexa office and to designated project locations, as needed, and such travel is considered an essential function of the role
  • Proficiency in procurement and project management software and tools
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies tailored to large-scale healthcare construction projects.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement.
  • Utilize IPD methodologies to enhance collaboration and efficiency in the procurement process.
  • Work closely with project teams to integrate procurement strategies into the overall project plan.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project partners.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any contract-related issues that arise.
  • Monitor contract performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with project financial goals.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize procurement costs.
  • Monitor and control procurement expenditures, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Implement risk management plans and monitor their effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee the logistics and supply chain management for the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
