Job Description The Product Engineer position in Nanshan, Shenzhen, China, is a critical role focused on HDD-Media-Head performance characterization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following essential duties: Direct and oversee the Media Process Engineering team to optimize processes for superior Media performance in HDD systems Engage in strategic collaboration with cross-functional teams to rigorously define and refine product specifications and requirements Systematically analyze and enhance existing products to achieve optimal yield performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability Provide comprehensive support for Media performance optimization throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial development to high-volume production Maintain a thorough and current understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advanced manufacturing processes Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations Spearhead and implement critical digitalization initiatives in manufacturing operations Implement and oversee data-driven decision-making processes utilizing advanced analytics Develop and apply sophisticated AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield, reliability, and performance trends Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive real-time dashboards for critical KPI monitoring Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute significantly to knowledge dissemination within the team Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or related field 2-4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Semiconductor industry Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (JMP, Minitab, SQL) and exposure to Python/R for data science Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (HDD or Media process related experience would be added advantage) Update to date on Industry 4.0 technologies, automation, and smart factory trends. Responsibilities
