JOB OVERVIEW:

We’re expanding our leadership in the industry—and you’ll be at the forefront of that momentum, driving innovation and delivering high-impact results. We’re looking for a Senior Product Lifecycle Engineer to join our Alsip manufacturing facility, where you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of positive displacement gear pump technologies. Reporting to the Global Engineering Director, you’ll work alongside a talented, cross-functional engineering team to lead initiatives that improve product performance, optimize cost, and enhance manufacturability. You will take full ownership of assigned product lines across the entire lifecycle—from new product development (NPD) to sustaining engineering—while also leading efforts in cost reduction (PPV, I2V) and product enhancement to maintain a competitive edge. Your deep expertise in engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and component inspection procedures will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, customer-focused solutions aligned with broader business objectives. In this role, you’ll be empowered to lead multiple projects, drive continuous improvement, and influence the direction of product innovation.
If you’re a hands-on senior product engineer with a passion for driving technical excellence and delivering measurable value in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment—we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities :

  • Design ownership of external gear pump product line: configuration, changes, extensions, and enhancements
  • Lead assigned lifecycle engineering initiatives related to growth, quality, supply chain, and value engineering (VAE).
  • Lead and support initiatives to enhance customer and shareholder value by supporting PPV and I2V (Innovate to Value, similar to VAE) initiatives.
  • Lead new product introductions into the factory, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, and Operations teams to support engineering builds, manufacturing launch, and operator tools/structures for success.
  • Create and revise product documentation to current industry standards.
  • Specify required tests, qualify requirements, and measurement expectations for existing products and alternate product concepts.
  • Submit requests for testing and work collaboratively with lab technicians during test execution to assure that test objectives are met.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mechanical engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years of mechanical/hydraulic/mechatronic design, manufacturing, or experience in pumps, motors, controls, or equivalent industry. Internships considered for relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of product design fundamentals at component and system levels.
  • Proficiency with engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance stack-ups, and component inspection procedures.
  • Experience in testing, and/or analysis, including use of lab equipment for verification of designs.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, casting (sand, die casting, investment casting, etc.), forging, powder metal, and stamping.
  • Knowledge of materials, heat treatments, and coatings.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly with organizing tasks and managing time to complete simultaneous multiple assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and to make timely decisions with sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to function effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience using computers: Office, CAD (SolidWorks preferred, Inventor or similar).
  • Experience with manufacturing and engineering software: Preferred: ERP (SAP), PLM (Windchill).
  • High initiative and the drive to continuously improve.

Core Competencies:
