Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Confluent is looking for a dynamic and strategic Senior Product Marketing Manager to define and drive the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Confluent Cloud and Confluent Platform. As a key leader on our outbound PMM team, you will collaborate with Product Marketing leadership and be instrumental in shaping how we activate sales, accelerate customer adoption, and expand our marketing pipeline, working closely with other product marketers.
Your primary focus will be on crafting compelling narratives that resonate with customers, showcasing how Confluent Cloud supports modern cloud deployments and Confluent Platform addresses private or sensitive on-premise workloads. You will be at the heart of our efforts to position the powerful Stream capabilities of Confluent’s unified Data Streaming Platform.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Craft or iterate on compelling and differentiated positioning , messaging,and content for Confluent Platform targeting both practitioners and economic buyers, including solution briefs, whitepapers, blogs, videos, and webinars.
  • Activate powerful go-to-market motions. Work cross-functionally to orchestrate integrated GTM campaigns that drive marketing pipeline, support sales and partner driven activations , and bring our hybrid and on-prem story to life for high-value accounts and key industries.
  • Craft and execute marketing strategy. Partner with product, sales, and demand gen teams to develop bold, insights-driven marketing plans— tailored to strategic customer segments.
  • Design and launch sales plays. Translate product value into actionable sales plays aligned to business pain points. Partner with sales leadership to drive adoption and results in the field.
  • Enable customer-facing teams. Build and deliver clear, concise messaging frameworks, playbooks, and content that empower sales, SEs, and partners to confidently position Confluent Platform.
  • Fuel strategic field programs. Develop content strategies and execute campaigns for marquee events, executive roundtables, and industry moments—infusing our narrative into every touchpoint.
  • Stay market-smart. Keep a pulse on buyer needs, competitive movements, and market dynamics—then turn that insight into action across messaging, plays, and campaign pivots
