Description
Overview Sr. Production Engineer needed by Celanese Corporation in Bishop, TX. Responsibilities To Ensure MOC’s are completed for all changes within units and properly communicated to impacted employees including supporting the Learning Facilitator with training. Follow up on pre and post start-up action items to ensure timely completion of all requirements for MOC’s. Support capital project planning and execution in the field. Support stewardship activities through field presence and participate in behavior observation programs, near miss reports, and life critical audits. Provide technical support to shut down and start-up activities including serving as the Process Safety Officer (PSO). Track and manage utility availability during outages to prevent interruption to production units. Review work scope of the outage and provides direction based on unit performance. Track and share relevant KPI’s including energy efficiencies, raw material usage, shed hours and works on improvement plans to close gaps. Support Close activities associated with energy. Help build the overall site energy budget coordinating with the different operating areas. Lead root cause analysis to address stewardship and reliability issues. Support environmental compliance by working with ESHA staff to track emissions and perform release calculations when needed. Continue to monitor process, product and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues. Ensure units are running at entitlement targets and anticipating potential emerging issues to improve unit safety, quality, reliability, and profitability. Steward the Management of Change (“MOC”) process and monitoring projects in the area and driving them to completion. Lead unit shutdown efforts and coordinating project and maintenance activities utilizing production plans. Lead problem-solving processes, performing root cause analysis, and tracking reliability and asset utilization, efficiencies, and reports. Track and share relevant KPIs including energy efficiencies, raw material usage, and on stream reliability and working on improvement plans to close gaps. Perform daily yield analysis to support YA system as a part of SOX compliance. Perform release calculations in support of EHS incident investigations and closure. Utilize SAP knowledge of manufacturing profiles. Use PI ProcessBook to monitor processes, ensure units are running within targets, and analyze process upsets. Follow process safety methodologies including Process Hazard Analysis (“PHA’s”), Safety Instrumented Systems (“SIS”), and Pressure Relief Devices (“PRD’s”).
