  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Engineering, Business Management) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP).
  • Proven leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and managing change.
  • Proficiency in production planning, data analysis, and performance reporting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with all food manufacturing regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA, GMP).
  • Lead and manage production operations and continuous improvement projects to meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste through training and application of CI techniques.
  • Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
  • Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership on budgeting, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and best practices.
  • Maintain effective communication across departments to ensure alignment and accountability.
