Job Summary Responsible for providing support to the Production Planning and Materials functions. The position will support the Planning and Scheduling Manager in the development, implementation, analysis, and coordination of the schedule for the production lines. Salary Range: $73,614-$103,528/year + 6% annual bonus Responsibilities Reviews SAP planned process orders and plant production schedules to coordinate the review, release and issue of process orders and pick slips in SAP. Creating process orders in SAP, managing inventory, making schedule changes in SAP, and issuing the filling schedule. Reviews draft production schedules for capacity and material availability. Identifies issues prior to schedule distribution and communicates to appropriate departments. Supports Operations and Quality departments’ requests for information to include SAP reports and screen prints, MR/DR log information and trending. Interface with other departments, such as Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Production, Quality, Quality Control, Label Control, and Packaging Development to prioritize scheduling and manage material change projects. Run and Analyze Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) generation report to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) including scenario planning and build S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) supply slides. Initiates DCRs (Document Change Requests) for Master Recipe and SOP changes. Responsible for Manager, Planning and Scheduling; and production planner duties in their absence. Provides analytical and day to day operational support to all Materials Department functions (Purchasing, Production Planning and Warehousing). Facilitates routine plant operation and scheduling meetings to ensure all available line time and components will meet MPS (Master Production Schedule). Supports product launch timelines for new and transferred product introduction. Review of Expiring Batch Report to minimize obsolescence. Alternate to Material Review/Destruction Report process, including MRB (Material Review Board) meetings, issuance, and tracking. Performs trending and analysis of MR/DRs. Responsible for SAP PP (Production Planning) functions at the plant. This includes being adept at performing all SAP transactions relevant to the PP and other related modules along with improving the data integrity of Material Masters and Recipes. Responsible for analyzing and reporting Key Performance Indicators for the Materials Department including schedule adherence, inventory, and product release timing. Support department projects to improve efficiency in materials department which would involve working with complex issues that involve multiple areas of the business (i.e., Manage Product transfers, Inventory management, etc.) Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering is preferred or equivalent field related experience and/or education. 5+ years of relevant experience required including Supply Chain, Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), and production planning experience. CSCP is preferred Working knowledge of personal computers is critical and should include experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) and SAP or similar ERP systems. Good verbal/written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to influence business decisions on systems and applications. Strong organization and communication skills required to track a dynamic production plan. Ability to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to achieve common goals and respond positively to situations. High level of attention to detail, follow through and task completion orientation required. High sense of urgency in exceeding daily expectations. Strong problem-solving ability to analyze demand issues and optimize production planning. Previous scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment with batch records Must possess excellent computer skills. Experience with ERP/MRP system required. SAP experience preferred. Experience in a Production Planning environment is required. Knowledge of the Production operations (filling and packaging) is a plus. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization is required.
