We’re looking for a flexible and motivated Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Float Pool as a Senior Professional Staff Nurse. In this full-time role, you’ll manage diverse patient care with a focus on quality and collaboration, using independent judgment and strong communication to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Excellence & Innovation: Identifies opportunities to enhance patient care and workplace practices. Applies evidence-based practice and leads or participates in initiatives that improve clinical outcomes and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Leadership & Professionalism: Serves as a role model and recognized unit leader in areas such as clinical expertise, education, and evidence-based care. Provides constructive feedback, promotes change, and actively participates in shared governance and hospital-wide councils.
  • Mentorship & Development: Passionately mentors students, new nurses, and peers. Identifies learning opportunities, shares knowledge, and supports continuous professional growth through presentations, journal clubs, and resource sharing.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Utilizes the nursing process within Relationship-Based Care to deliver holistic, individualized care. Communicates effectively with the care team, documents comprehensively, and demonstrates critical thinking in all aspects of care delivery.
  • Teamwork & Culture: Builds strong, respectful relationships and fosters a culture of inclusion and support. Maintains a healthy work-life balance through prioritization and self-awareness, and addresses workplace challenges with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
  • Must meet and maintain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on annual Professional Staff Nurse Performance Evaluations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific patient needs and principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build caring, professional relationships across all levels.
  • Physical stamina required for frequent walking, standing, and patient positioning.
