UPMC Shadyside’s Day of Admission Department is hiring a part-time Senior Professional Staff Nurse to join our collaborative, patient-focused team. This is your chance to lead, mentor, and provide top-tier care — all in just 20 hours per week!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years experience required.
• Annual completion of 1 professional contribution selected from department, hospital or system goals, and approved by Unit Director as set forth through UPMC’s My Nursing Career Ladder OR certification. Certification not required if master’s in nursing or DNP is held. If a BSN is held, a master’s degree in a related field may be substituted in lieu of Certification.

• As a Senior Professional Staff Nurse, you’ll serve as a clinical expert, patient advocate, and mentor. You’ll help patients begin their care journey, performing advanced assessments, creating care plans, and ensuring everything is in place for a smooth transition into inpatient services. You’ll also guide newer nurses, influence positive change, and take part in unit and hospital-wide initiatives that elevate quality and patient satisfaction.
