The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Project Coordinator to work at the UHealth medical campus in Miami, FL.

CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Project Coordinator coordinates project activities to ensure projects are on schedule. This role provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, and documentation. In addition, this job also prepares comprehensive action plans that detail available resources, timeframes and budgets for projects.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

We are seeking a mission-driven Sr. Project Coordinator - Project Manager to support a multidisciplinary research team focused on lifestyle medicine, behavioral interventions, and cancer survivorship. This individual will manage the development and implementation of digital tools and web applications that support clinical trials, participant engagement, and data capture. This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to contribute to innovative health research that improves outcomes for cancer survivors, develop strong project management skills in a dynamic and supportive team, and opportunity for professional development. This position offers flexible and hybrid work options.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with software developers as well as researchers, clinicians, and study participants. You will help ensure that applications are user-friendly, secure, and aligned with research protocols and ethical standards. You will drive sprint planning, facilitate clear documentation, and help unblock the team while maintaining visibility into development pipelines and risks. This position requires not only excellent project coordination and Agile management skills but also a strong orientation toward customer service—ensuring that platform users (patients, clinicians, or researchers) receive timely, effective support and that their feedback informs continuous improvement.

Project Management & Agile Coordination

  • Lead Agile project workflows, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and issue prioritization using Jira.
  • Maintain up-to-date and well-organized documentation in Confluence, including project plans, technical documentation, and user feedback logs.
  • Serve as the liaison between software development teams and research stakeholders to translate project requirements into clear, actionable development tasks.Ensure alignment with IRB-approved protocols and HIPAA/PHI handling requirements as needed.

Platform User Support & Customer Service

  • Act as a point of contact for platform users (e.g., research participants, clinicians, or research staff) to troubleshoot issues and provide a positive digital experience.
  • Collect and document user feedback and help guide user experience enhancements.
  • Collaborate with developers to triage and resolve bugs, errors, or support tickets.Help develop and maintain user support materials such as FAQs, onboarding guides, or walkthroughs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate between researchers, developers, data analysts, UX/UI designers, and study staff to support delivery of digital research platforms.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins, demos, and cross-team communication.
  • Ensure digital tools align with the research team’s goals for behavioral tracking, data collection, and participant engagement.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Familiarity with software development cycles and concepts like REST , webhooks , CI/CD pipelines , and cloud deployment required. Additional familiarity with with Azure DevOps , GitHub, and/or Vonage communication API is preferred.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other project tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative software development lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and balance competing priorities.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and service-oriented approach to user support.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSING:

Certification in Agile (CSM, PMI-ACP) or Project Management (PMP) preferred
