The PMO Squad is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our finance client. Reporting to the Head of Projects and Change, this role is responsible for the successful delivery and adoption of projects and changes across the organization. Projects include technology, operations and regulatory change, all aimed at delivering simple, efficient business solutions which will optimize our clients’ experience.
Position: Contract | 6-12 months
Pay: $70 - $75/hr.
Location: Remote | Eastern or Central time zone(s) required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree Information Technology / Business administration / Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ relevant experience delivering business, technology projects in the banking, financial services or I.T. sector(s).
  • Experience in project governance, risk identification and mitigation and associated controls.
  • Professional project management designation such as PMP; Prince 2; Agile / Scrum Master or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of banking / financial sectors and technologies / systems essential.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute critical business initiatives to scope, time and budget.
  • Apply consistent project governance and methodologies to deliver projects to agreed budgets, scope, quality and timelines. Ensure appropriate resourcing.
  • Building positive working relationships with business sponsors and ensure the smooth delivery of projects and organizational change across the bank.
  • Work with sponsors and stakeholders to develop the business case for projects under management, ensure feasibility and seek approval(s). Facilitate working sessions to define project scope and outputs and ensure final solution and change is embraced by the stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets and reports on a timely basis. Provide regular updates to the Head of Projects & Change and Sponsors. Ensure appropriate KPIs for success are tracked and reported.
  • Conduct regular project meetings. Ensure minutes, agendas and schedules are prepared, distributed, updated and approved in a timely manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, risk logs, key issues and changes through the lifecycle of the project.
  • Undertake post implementation reviews, benefit analysis and the collation and sharing of lessons learned.
