Description

WHO WE ARE:

We design places where people love to be together.
Populous is a global design firm that began with a singular focus: to draw people together around the things they love, through experiences that capture all the senses, amplifying the atmosphere of excitement and pure joy shared in human moments.
We’ve designed and delivered some of the world’s most memorable civic, sports and entertainment buildings, from iconic stadia to ground-breaking live music venues. Populous is where architects and designers of all kinds create moments bigger than ourselves. We offer the best of both worlds: the resources and impact of the design giants and the tightly knit atmosphere and growth opportunities of smaller firms.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Demonstrated expertise in relationship-building, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork.
  • Proficiency in advanced project delivery methods, drawing software, and production processes is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including effective time management, strategic planning, and prioritization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design principles, construction methodologies, and material applications.
  • Strong understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing requirements, and budgets, with a keen interest in financial management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple small to medium-sized projects with complex scopes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is preferred.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or Engineering (B. Arch or M. Arch)
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural, engineering, or construction practice, including at least 10 years of project management experience across all project phases.
  • Project management experience in sports facilities, arenas, convention centers, hospitality, or aviation projects is highly desirable.
  • Professional licensure as an Architect, Interior Designer, or Engineer, or LEED accreditation is preferred.
  • NCARB registration is strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification or completion of equivalent project management coursework is a plus.
