Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager join a strong program team as it continues to rapidly grow. The selected team member will partner with peers in the Operations and Technology Services Delivery organizations to manage and support growing technical project management delivery needs within the Enterprise Digital Services (EDS) portfolio. This position is 100% remote and will be a full time position. The successful candidate will report to the EDS Portfolio Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects.
  • Manages a project team comprised of a multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers.
  • Manages the direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
  • Defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
  • Supervises professional and technical support personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
  • Schedules tasks and coordinates with various team members to accomplish the results.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s with 12+ years of experience. (or commensurate experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with customers, stakeholders, and matrixed resources to successfully execute project and product delivery
  • Experience managing delivery of large scale software systems and support services, preferably for Federal customers
  • Deep familiarity with the SDLC and managing compliant software releases
  • Significant experience using project / product management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence. as well as MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Deep understanding of risk identification, management, and mitigation
  • Ability to generate LOEs and ROM working with necessary stakeholders to appropriately size and price product development, maintenance, and support activities
  • Ability to efficiently distribute work across regular and contracted workforces to achieve on time / on budget project / product delivery
    Clearance Level: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to effectively engage with a diverse clientele and team and to communicate with both non-technical and technical audiences and stakeholders
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Certified Product Owner
  • ITSM/ITIL Fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Data Analytics system capabilities such as PowerBI, Tableau, AWS Quicksight, etc
  • Ability to successfully drive and manage concurrent project / product streams to successful delivery
  • Exposure to AI Engineering and LLM Prompting
