Job Title: Sr. Project Manager- Solar Cell Manufacturing
Location: Austin, TX , Taylor, TX - Traveling
Yates is seeking a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in advanced manufacturing environments. This is a highly visible role embedded within our Operations team, but with a heavy focus on field execution and jobsite presence.
As Senior PM, you will lead the full lifecycle of complex manufacturing facility projects, balancing executive-level project responsibilities with detailed day-to-day onsite leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years in advanced manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Experience with solar manufacturing, semiconductor, automotive, or high-tech cleanroom environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering large, complex, fast-track projects from ground-up through commissioning.
  • Strong command of field operations and the ability to walk and work the jobsite daily.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, cost control, and reporting systems (e.g., Procore, P6, CMiC, Bluebeam).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Own project delivery from preconstruction through turnover with a hands-on presence at the jobsite.
  • Collaborate closely with field teams, superintendents, and trade partners to drive production schedules and resolve conflicts in real time.
  • Lead budget management, cost forecasting, contract negotiation, and change order processing.
  • Facilitate coordination of MEP systems, process equipment, and manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Maintain consistent client communication and act as the main liaison for project-related decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and compliance standards in partnership with site leadership.
  • Drive execution of schedule milestones with accountability across disciplines.
  • Serve as a mentor and leader for project engineers and assistant PMs on your team.
