This is a Contingent Hire Position

Education: Bachelors/Masters preferred
Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing nuclear defense-related programs, implementing strategic policy decisions, and advising senior government officials on time-sensitive and complex matters related to the nuclear deterrent.

Clearance: An ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
Background: The Office of the Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs’ (NA-10) mission is to sustain a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent through the application of science, technology, engineering, and manufacturing. The mission of this office is to direct the safe, secure, and effective operation and function of Defense Programs within the National Nuclear Security Administration and the Department of Energy. The Office of Defense Programs has the primary responsibility of partnering with the Department of Defense to provide a safe, secure, and effective stockpile for the Nation’s nuclear deterrent. To carry out this mission, this office has responsibility for the policies, processes, and procedures for assuring effective integration of activities and implementation of programs across the weapons complex and with other programs and staff offices in the NNSA, including the Office of the NNSA Administrator.
