Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of complex and enterprise-level IT projects through leadership in all facets of planning, design, implementation and enhancement efforts of new and existing systems and technologies. This role manages cross-functional project teams, as well as third-party vendors and consultants, to successfully complete approved strategic projects. The Senior Project Manager develops comprehensive project plans, communication plans and status reports. The selected candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for university departments and ensures timely communication to project stakeholders and leadership, including C-suite executive leaders. The position will report to the Associate Director, Project Management Office.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years – Project Management, with at least 3 years of experience managing increasingly complex projects in a technical environment.
  • Experience leading and managing large, complex IT projects.
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Record of project management success, both in results achieved and in the use of project methodology.
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical teams, business owners and executives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a project management environment.
  • Experience managing projects in a higher education setting.
  • Experience managing cloud application implementation projects.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP are strongly preferred.
    Salary and Benefits
    Targeted salary range of $120,000-$125,000 annually and full University benefits that include 22 days of annual leave, up to 15 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and
