We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead key utility projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring that all aspects of the project are planned and executed to meet goals within the established time frames and budgets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role will also be responsible for project profitability, including contract terms, budget management, change orders, scope management, and resource allocation. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will ensure that consultants maintain the expected level of billable utilization and will drive continuous improvement in our project management practices.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Specific Expertise with MS Project
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Visio, or related presentation software are preferred.
  • Experience with Saviom or a related resource allocation tool is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira or a related reporting tool is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with projects in the Utilities sector and understanding of standard utility business processes.
  • Experience with the Oracle Utilities Solutions Suite is preferred.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT or business field, or equivalent experience.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • PMP Designation is strongly preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Occasional travel to client sites will be required.

Responsibilities

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring delivery within scope and financial targets.
  • Monitor and report on project financials, including forecast accuracy, burn rate, and profit margins.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including documentation and capture of lessons learned.
  • Recognize and document scope changes, coordinating change orders and communicating impact to all stakeholders.
    Requirements:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with HR and Personnel Managers to provide performance feedback at least annually.
  • Lead workstreams within multi-product solution implementations.
