QUALIFICATIONS

University graduation in any of the following: Project Management, Urban planning, Architecture, Public Policy or a related degree, supplemented by at least four years of related experience or a equivalent as described below.

Directly related experience or education considered based on:

  • 1 year of experience for 1 year of education; or
  • 1 year of education for 1 year of experience.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Accommodations,The Senior Property & Space Planner leads a team responsible for all space and accommodation needs for Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction (SARTR) and Technology and Innovation (TI).

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate team building through client and stakeholder interaction as well as the ability to recognize potential conflicts, opportunities and communicate them appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills to deal with a multitude of competing requests for attention and funding.
  • Ability to communicate (oral or written) effectively with different levels of government.

THE FOLLOWING WILL BE CONSIDERED AS ASSETS TO THIS ROLE:

  • Project Management Certificate 101 and 102.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AUTOCAD.
  • Experience interacting and working with senior leadership, Assistant Deputy Ministers, Deputy Ministers.
  • Experience working in strategic policy or legislation development.
