The Sr. Proposal Specialist will prepare proposals by determining concepts, gathering and formatting information, creating drafts, and obtaining approvals. Proposals will be from various public sources, including federal pursuits and with clients such as TxDOT, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Texas General Land Office, Harris County Flood Control District, and several municipalities throughout Texas. The Proposal Specialist will work collaboratively with engineers and surveyors across the company. What you will do: Lead complex, high-visibility proposal efforts with minimal supervision. Serve as lead writer, editor, and InDesign specialist for major pursuits. Partner with technical leadership on capture planning, win strategies, and messaging. Oversee quality control of content, graphics, and design to ensure consistency and compliance. Provide mentorship and guidance to coordinators and specialists, supporting skill development and professional growth. Help maintain and improve proposal processes, templates, and content libraries. Use AI tools effectively and responsibly to enhance efficiency and consistency. Balance multiple proposals and priorities with expert-level organization and communication. Represent the proposal group in internal initiatives, training, and marketing planning. Performs other marketing-related tasks as directed by the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager. Who you are: You are a team player with a professional demeanor focused on performing a variety of support functions. As a self-starter you have excellent time and task management skills. You are an accomplished communicator both verbal and written. What you bring: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. Minimum 9+ years of A/E/C proposal experience. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM systems preferred. Advanced writing, editing, and design capabilities. Expertise in Adobe InDesign and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite. Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage complex pursuits independently and deliver under tight deadlines. Deep understanding of A/E/C industry proposal processes, including TxDOT and federal pursuits. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and creative problem-solving.
