We are seeking a technician to build low voltage harnesses for new programs. These harnesses will be critical for the development of the electrical system of the vehicle. You can expect to build harnesses from raw materials following documentation provided by engineers. The result will be delivery of finished goods, including quality inspection. You will set up the fixtures and assembly boards to build the harnesses and create processes with the goal of rapid and high quality harness production.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or technical school certification
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in an R&D or testing environment
  • Experience with wire harness manufacturing such as performing terminal crimps with hand tools
  • Familiarity with high volume wire harness production processes
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and 2D harness prints to build harnesses or perform reworks
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills using common electrical test equipment such as digital voltmeter
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with online collaboration and documentation
  • Clean and organized working style
  • Ability to deliver consistently high-quality results when working on repetitive tasks
  • Experience with MS Offic
Responsibilities
  • Work with engineers and technicians to build, repair, and rework automotive wire harnesses
  • Adapt high volume wire harness production processes to a low volume lab setting
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement through equipment procurement and automation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve harness issues on vehicles and test bucks
  • Organize and maintain the Low Voltage Harness lab space, equipment, and inventory
