SR QA - DATA TESTING:

Procom is searching for a Sr QA - Data Testing for an 8-12 months role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.

SR QA - DATA TESTING - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves supporting multiple initiatives, focusing on impact assessment, testing needs identification, and test planning. The candidate will work closely with project teams to deliver quality assurance for existing solutions and integration designs.

SR QA - DATA TESTING - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Capability to understand the technical and functional impact
• Good understanding of the role of environment & integrations during testing
• Experience in SIT and End-to-End testing in a multi-vendor environment
• QA Experience with data migration, data validation, and report testing
• Proficient in writing SQL
• Experience with Jira and X-ray

SR QA - DATA TESTING – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Exposure to Databricks
• Experience with Power BI
• Familiarity with Azure SQL
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Understand the existing solution and integration design, and existing business processes
• Prepare a test plan for the project
• Work with business analysts and architecture teams to identify impacted scenarios and plan test execution
• Identify potential scenarios for automation
• Write detailed test cases and execute them in X-Ray
• Drive troubleshooting calls with project and development partners, ensuring updates in Jira
• Ensure quality gate checks are signed off
• Provide daily status reports on defects and execution, escalating issues for faster resolution
