JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA/QC Engineer with CSWIP 3.1 certification and experience in conducting ASME audits. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities across our fabrication projects, ensuring that all products meet stringent international standards and client requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • CSWIP 3.1 Certification (Welding Inspector).
  • Experience with ASME codes and standards (Section II, V, VIII, IX).
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in QA/QC within the fabrication industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT).
  • Experience in pressure vessels, storage tanks, and trailers fabrication.
  • Proficient in documentation control, including WPS/PQR, weld maps, and material traceability.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with ASME Joint Reviews and National Board inspections.
  • Familiarity with different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, SMAW) and various materials (carbon steel, stainless steel).
  • Ability to lead and train QA/QC teams
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for various fabrication projects.
  • Conduct ASME audits and ensure compliance with ASME U and R stamps.
  • Perform welding inspections and supervise NDT activities as per relevant standards.
  • Oversee the fabrication process of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and trailers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Review and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and maintain documentation for MRBs.
  • Conduct thorough painting inspections to ensure that surface preparation, coating thickness, and application meet specified standards, with proper verification of curing times and adhesion to prevent defects or premature coating failure.
  • Conduct supplier/vendor audits and ensure that incoming materials meet specifications.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
  • Identify and manage non-conformities (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide technical guidance to the QA/QC team on welding procedures and quality control measures.
