Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Quality Assurance and Sanitation Manager to lead our Quality Control, Microbiology, Grading, and Sanitation teams. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring our plant complies with food safety regulations and certification standards (BRC, HACCP, HARPC, GMP, USDA, FDA). This role requires someone who is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working 50–60% of the time on the production floor, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and the Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field required. Preferred 7–10 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, including prior experience managing direct reports
• Knowledge in HACCP, HARPC, GMP, BRC, FDA/USDA regulations.
• SQF Practitioner preferred or BRC Trained and must be HACCP and PCQI Certified.
• Ability to communicate and deal with a diverse staff in a professional manner.
• Ability to organize work, multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, and some mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in setting priorities and executing multiple assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Self-starter with strong leadership skills, a high degree of integrity and demonstrable results understanding of the business operating environment and customer needs.
• Proven ability to support colleagues by addressing their business needs, helping to foster strong and collaborative working relationship.
• Must have a valid California Driver license.
