  Reports to: Manager, Quality Location:  Phoenix, AZ  Summary: The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role leads quality assurance initiatives, conducts internal and external audits, drives continuous improvement efforts, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure product and process quality throughout manufacturing operations. The Senior Quality Engineer plays a key role in identifying process improvements, analyzing quality data, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to support operational excellence. Responsibilities: * Oversee effective implementation of the QMS, including any business accreditations * Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business, operation, and customer requirements * Conduct the final inspection for all outgoing shipments * Organize and manage internal and external audits and corrective action reporting. * Provide guidance and support to internal auditors during audit preparation and execution * Create daily safety and visual inspection reports to send to HQ * Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system * Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents * Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS to improve process performance and compliance. * Review, collect, and analyze data on quality procedures to continuously improve plant targets using the 4M process * Maintain and repair laboratory machines as necessary and track spare parts * Train new line operators and engineers on quality issues * Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis * Provide quality information to customer service team * Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding compliance documentation or validation results * Ensure organizational compliance with applicable quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9000 * Recommend resolution of identified deviations from established product or process standards * Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or validated systems * Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for quality issues. * Participate in internal or external training programs to maintain knowledge of validation principles, industry trends, or novel technologies * Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: * Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain * Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or MS Preferred or equivalent, relevant experience * Greenbelt in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) required Experience: * Laboratory or research experience preferred * 7+ years of experience Quality Engineering role or Reproducible experiment work in automotive manufacturing environment. * Background with GD&T preferred * Working knowledge of measurement and calibration * Understanding of manufacturing processes * Basic knowledge of electrical engineering * Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) * Knowledge of quality systems and Lean manufacturing * Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9000  Skills: * Comfortable working independently and with others * Results-oriented and perseverant * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Project and process management skills * Strong attention to detail * Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve * MS Office Suite and Minitab * Flexible schedule to address issues at work as they arise and to attend meetings based on overseas schedules  Benefits Overview * 100% employer paid Medical, Dental, and Vision premium for you and your family * 100% employer-paid disability and life insurance * Employer supported childcare/babysitting programs * Generous Paid Time Off / Holidays * Opportunity to grow in diverse work environment with a global company * 401k Retirement savings and planning with generous company match  LG is an Equal Opportunity employer that values the diversity of its workforce.
