Overview Amyx is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Specialist to serve as a core member of the Quality Management team, reporting directly to the Senior Quality Manager. This role focuses on CMMI-aligned program quality, ISO support, and internal departmental operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience supporting both program teams and enterprise quality systems, can lead or contribute to internal audits depending on scope, and is comfortable serving as the acting quality lead in the Senior Quality Manager's absence. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role suited for a quality practitioner ready to take on significant ownership and operate with independence. Amyx maintains certifications across ISO 9001, 14001, and 27001, and is appraised at CMMI-SVC ML3. The Senior Quality Manager retains primary ownership of the ISO 27001 and CMMI appraisal programs; this role supports those efforts while owning day-to-day execution in its primary areas. Responsibilities CMMI & Program Quality Partner with program teams to support ongoing implementation of CMMI-aligned quality practices and maintain audit readiness across the program portfolio Support the implementation and standardization of organizational quality standards across all programs, including formal and informal training sessions with program teams Lead or support internal audits depending on subject matter area, including planning, execution, reporting, and corrective action follow-up Perform peer reviews of program documentation for quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards Support program lifecycle quality activities, including startup, transition, surveillance, and closeout Identify risks, gaps, and nonconformities across program operations and work with stakeholders to drive corrective actions to closure Coordinate with external consultants on quality monitoring activities Maintain and promote use of quality tools and repositories, including corrective action records and process documentation Oversee the lessons learned repository, ensuring it is actively maintained and reported on Support preparation for external CMMI appraisals, including evidence collection, stakeholder coordination, and interview readiness ISO 9001 & 14001 Support ongoing alignment of QMS documentation and practices with ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements Participate in internal audit planning and execution for ISO-certified management systems Support preparation for external surveillance and recertification audits, including evidence administration and scheduling Monitor updates to applicable standards and assist with implementing required process or documentation changes Review quality documentation for effectiveness, compliance, and consistency with enterprise standards Department Operations Serve as acting quality lead in the Senior Quality Manager's absence, escalating to the Director, Program Excellence, as needed Evaluate existing processes for effectiveness and process gaps, identify improvement initiatives, and coordinate with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives that result in measurable operational outcomes across both program and enterprise environments Maintain quality compliance measurement and tracking systems, including reporting of metrics and trend analysis for management review Own day-to-day administration of operational trackers — including corrective actions, training compliance, and lessons learned — ensuring records are current, accurate, open items are driven to closure, and findings are reported on regularly Administer and maintain the Quality documentation library, ensuring documents are accurate, current, compliant, and audit-ready Serve as the subject matter expert and internal liaison for quality standards, advising teams and departments across the organization on the interpretation and application of CMMI, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for departmental communications, including oversight of the shared Quality inbox and calendar Prepare quality updates, reporting, and briefing materials for executive and organizational communications Coordinate department meetings, agendas, minutes, and action item follow-up Qualifications Required: 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, internal auditing, compliance, or operational quality across both corporate operations and program environments 5+ years of experience working in a government contracting environment 5+ years of experience directly participating in external CMMI ML3 (DEV or SVC model) and ISO (9001 or 14001) assessments of organizational maturity or certificationDeep working knowledge of CMMI ML3 and ISO standards, with demonstrated ability to maintain ongoing audit readiness and prepare teams and evidence for external assessments Experience using Microsoft tools and platforms, including Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, SharePoint, and Copilot Working knowledge of the program management and delivery lifecycle Experience partnering with and advising cross-functional stakeholders on quality standards and compliance requirements Ability to communicate complex quality and compliance concepts clearly in both written and verbal form Ability to lead or facilitate meetings, working sessions, and cross-functional discussions effectively Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly to shifting standards or organizational needs, and maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
