We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) with specific expertise in aluminum facade systems to manage and oversee the cost and contractual aspects of façade works on high-rise and commercial building projects. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of façade systems, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex contracts and high-value packages.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in quantity surveying with at least 5 years focused on aluminum facade systems.
  • Strong knowledge of curtain walling, unitized systems, stick systems, ACP cladding, structural glazing, etc.
  • Proficient in using QS and project management software (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, MS Excel, ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and local construction law.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIOB) is an advantage.
  • Experience working with façade contractors or specialty subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of sustainable façade materials and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for aluminum facade works including curtain walling, cladding, louvers, and other related systems.
  • Administer contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements including FIDIC or other standard forms.
  • Perform cost planning, budgeting, and value engineering in the pre- and post-contract phases.
  • Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and changes to scope.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify subcontractor measurements.
  • Prepare and present interim payment applications and final accounts.
  • Liaise with project teams, consultants, clients, and suppliers to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
  • Ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Provide input to procurement strategies and support tender evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and local regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior QS staff as required.
