An excellent career opportunity is currently available for an Sr R&D Analytical Technician within Honeywell UOP’s R&D Materials Characterization group located in Des Plaines, IL. This position provides a unique opportunity to analyze samples from across R&D, Pilot Plants, and commercial refineries around the world.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sr R&D Analytical Technician role will join our Des Plaines lab team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our research and development efforts, with a specific focus on gas chromatography, wet chemistry, and catalyst testing.

• Conduct laboratory testing following industry guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible for running analytical tests and entering results.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory.
• Prepare test samples for various chemical analyses.
• Communicate with customers to keep them informed and educated.
• Handling of chemicals and other hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals is required.
