Job Title:Sr. Refrigeration System Engineer Position Summary This role drives the industrialization of refrigeration systems for medical devices, bridging D&D and manufacturing. What Will You Do: Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives for refrigeration systems, ensuring designs are optimized for high-volume production, automation compatibility, and cost targets. Drive design transfers from D&D to manufacturing, serve as the primary technical interface between D&D, Manufacturing, and cross-function teams throughout the product lifecycle. Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to resolve production issues, supplier quality deviations, and field failures; drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions. Partner with Sourcing and Supplier Quality to qualify and develop refrigeration component vendors (compressors, heat exchangers, refrigerant suppliers), including on-site audits and process validations. Establish and optimize critical manufacturing processes: refrigerant evacuation and charging, brazing of hermetic systems, thermal insulation application, and system leak testing. Author manufacturing-focused technical documentation: process validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), work instructions, inspection acceptance criteria, and procurement specifications. How will you get here? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Refrigeration Engineering, Thermal Engineering or related field, 7+ years of hands-on experience in refrigeration system application engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrialization roles. Proficient in using 3D design software (Creo), better to know Heatsink thermal design is preferred. Understand international certification standards (UL/CE/IEC) and the product compliance development process Proven track record of successfully launching at least 3 products into mass production, including direct involvement in pilot builds, process validation, and manufacturing Run@Rate. Strong practical knowledge of vapor compression refrigeration systems, including hands-on experience with refrigerant handling, system charging, and performance commissioning. Fluent English (written and spoken) for global collaboration; ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities
