This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Research Data Engineer in the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Research Data Engineer to support complex research data projects using SQL Server and Oracle platforms. This role involves designing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, implement solutions, and maintain robust data systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and experienced in clinical or operational healthcare data environments. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects while leveraging advanced database technologies and research data management tools. Accountabilities: · Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines for research data projects. · Support and maintain Data Warehouse environments, including Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases. · Design and implement SQL Server and Oracle database objects, stored procedures, and T-SQL queries. · Gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives. · Plan, track, and manage small to medium-sized projects using project management tools. · Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and actionable research reporting. · Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to data users and cross-functional teams. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or clinical field with six years of IT experience, OR Associate’s degree with seven years of experience, OR eight years of relevant experience in IT or healthcare environments. · 2+ years of experience as a Systems/Application Analyst or Application Administrator. · 4+ years of advanced MS SQL Server experience, including SSIS, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database object definition. · 3+ years of experience supporting and maintaining Data Warehouse and ETL processes. · Experience reporting on Epic Clarity and Caboodle Data Warehouse systems. · Proven ability to gather business requirements, manage projects, and maintain project documentation. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Competitive contract-based compensation. · 100% remote work with flexibility. · Opportunity to work on impactful healthcare research data projects. · Gain experience with advanced data platforms and ETL processes. · Professional development opportunities in research data engineering and healthcare IT.
