Apply today and become a vital part of our healthcare community! Candidates will be placed on the appropriate step of the career ladder based on their experience and licensure. Responsibilities: Administer high-risk therapies (e.g., Nitric Oxide, Tracheal Gas Insufflation). Perform advanced functions in various settings (OR, ED, Cath Lab, etc.). Conduct procedures like bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and 24-hour monitoring. Monitor patient responses to therapy and assist with breathing exercises. Maintain patient charts and order equipment repairs. Demonstrate procedures to trainees and supervise students. Assist in transporting ventilated patients and respond to code situations. Evaluate medical orders and interpret clinical data to optimize patient care. Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient function. Act as Lead Respiratory Therapist when needed, providing problem-solving, training, and technique demonstration. Education and Experience: Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory program. Alternatively, 5-7 years of experience or NBRC Certification if no Associate’s degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2 years of respiratory care experience, including 1 year in critical care. Complete one approved project annually, starting within 3 months of hire. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR certification (AHA standards) within 30 days of hire. Pennsylvania: RCP license and RRT from NBRC. Maryland: Respiratory Therapist license. Maintain NBRC certification if credentialed after July 1, 2002. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Osteopathic Respiratory Care or Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
