Description
Primary Purpose of the Job Responsible for all commercial, logistical and administrative support to LNG trading activity, to ensure that all obligations arising from the LNG contract and charter party are met and carried out professionally. Liaise with traders to maximize the value-add through the application of economics and optimization skills for profitable operations, and minimize the profit leakage from the flexibility and optionality embedded in the LNG contracts and supply programs. Required Experience and Skills At least 5 years' experience in commercial operations including 2 years' in LNG operations with leading IOCs, NOCs or reputable trading companies. A key criterion is to be able to operate within a non-standard environment where the counterparty requires and expects considerable support and at the same time be able to gently introduce standardization and efficiency A good level of fluency in the English language, both written and spoken is required; other languages such as Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin and Korean would also be an advantage Multi-disciplinary knowledge and broad competence is required in areas such as trading, risk control, sales operations, commercial, financial, contract administration, legal, economic analysis and projects. Sales management and commercial operations skills must have been demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments, including client-relationship management. Excellent negotiation skills, communication and interpersonal skills. Top level written and verbal communication skills. Excellent client and internal stakeholder management skills. Ability to take fast risk-based decisions, sometimes based on limited amount of information. Sound computer literacy skills, including user knowledge of CTRM systems. Reasonable knowledge of international competition, anti-trust laws, freight contracts and shipping required in the context of LNG trading, and working with a high standard of personal integrity. Educational Qualifications Bachelor degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent from an internationally recognized university. Postgraduate Qualification (MSc. or MBA) preferred.
