We’re seeking a seasoned Sr. Security Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building and maintaining secure, scalable solutions that support digital transformation. If you’re someone who enjoys working closely with DevOps teams, mastering cloud security tools, and staying ahead of emerging threats, this role is for you.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Education: High School diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Information Security, with at least 4 years in a dedicated security engineering role
  • 2–4 years of experience designing and deploying security solutions for digital transformation initiatives
  • 2–4 years of experience implementing and managing security features in Microsoft 365 and Azure (PIM, Defender, Azure Policy, Conditional Access, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience using Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools to hunt, detect, and respond to endpoint threats
  • Proven background in supporting DevOps teams from a security-first perspective
  • Certification: At least one security certification (CISSP preferred)
  • Experience embedding security into development and operations workflows (DevSecOps)
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like FERPA, GLBA, PCI, HIPAA, and SOX
  • Hands-on knowledge of firewall configuration and administration (Fortinet experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to identify areas for improvement and lead continuous security enhancements
