KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
In the context of Tren Maya project, ALSTOM is offering high level of Maintenance Service of the Rolling Stock, Track systems (Signaling & Communication) and Maintenance facilities.
The Sr Maintenance System Engineer Signaling, Communication systems and Facilities is contributing to the technical activities within this Services scope, ensuring :
Permanent monitoring of systems performances for reaching targets and continuously improve them, in particular :
Safety
Maintenance cost (labor hours and material consumption vs LCC budget forecast)
Configuration management of all maintained assets (trainsets, systems), and also related spare parts and technical documentation, including management of engineering change process and preparation of technical inputs to set up the MMS (Maintenance Management System)
Support to PI (Product Introduction) organization to successfully meet the requirements for the end of warranty
Occasionally involved in the interface with customer about good realization of the maintenance program, discussions about technical issues and trainsets/systems performances.
The Sr Maintenance System Engineer Signaling, Communication systems and Facilities, by delegation from the Sig/Com/Facilities Maintenance Engineer, can be in turn the technical authority on operations sites, able to assess capability of the material to ensure commercial service.
If already on-board during Design phase, he/she participates to the Design Reviews, making sure it is consistent with Services project targets : LCC, availability, reliability. He/She also brings the necessary inputs about operational processes and maintenance infrastructure.
During warranty phase, Services Engineering team has a key role to support Production Introduction team in Reliability Growth. The Sr Maintenance System Engineer Sig/Com/Facilities proceeds to pre-analysis of corrective data and investigations, in order to orient the activity of “back office” engineering team for quick improvements. This activity is done in very close team work with Troubleshooters and ATV (Asistencia Técnica en Vía) Technicians.
If/when the Design teams (RSC / D&IS) get progressively demobilized, the Services Engineering team is widely autonomous to handle 95% of technical subjects, referring to RSC / D&IS Design Authority for changes, or even substituting D.A. in case it has been formally transferred. From this period, the Sr Maintenance System Engineer Sig/Com/Facilities contributes also to all Engineering activities of the related scope of work, including the ones performed by other Alstom sites or suppliers. The Services Engineering team is also in charge of managing the technical REX (Return-of-Experience) of the project.
Monitoring & treatment of obsolescence are also part of Services engineering scope of work.
