Notified is seeking a Sr Site Reliability Engineer to our growing team in Toronto. Our expectation at this time is you will work from our office, located at 155 University Avenue on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with flexibility to work from home on Monday and Friday.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

  • Advanced experience with Terraform
  • Expertise in AWS , Linux , and networking fundamentals .
  • Proficiency with Jenkins (Groovy scripting, plugins, pipelines).
  • Experience with Docker , Kubernetes , Helm , and GitOps tools like ArgoCD .
  • Familiarity with Puppet , Ansible , and scripting in Powershell , Python or Go .
  • Understanding of enterprise web application architecture (UI, backend, database layers).
  • Strong Git skills and experience with CI/CD best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in software engineering or DevOps roles required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure for medium to large-scale projects preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Pulumi , .NET application deployment, and Azure DevOps .
  • Background in developing custom automation tools and scripts.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi for consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning.
  • Build and manage multi-region, highly available, multi-account environments on AWS and Azure .
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployment.
  • Architect and maintain AKS and EKS clusters for container orchestration.
  • Leverage GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD ) to automate and manage deployments.
  • Collaborate using GitHub for version control and team workflows.
  • Knowledge on using monitoring tools like DataDog or similar.
  • Support and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of enterprise web applications.
