This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Business Analyst- Tri State locals only (NJ, NY, PA) in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to bridge business needs and software solutions within a dynamic Product Development environment. The Sr. Software Business Analyst will translate operational and client requirements into actionable Agile software specifications, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including IT, Delivery, and management, to ensure the successful delivery of key projects and program outcomes. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex systems and processes while maintaining alignment with organizational goals. You will also play a key part in developing metrics, reports, and training to drive operational efficiency and program success. \n Accountabilities: Gather, analyze, and translate operational and client requirements into clear, actionable Agile software specifications. Create business proposals, functional documentation, client/vendor contracts, and high-level reports. Coordinate with IT teams and Delivery managers to ensure timely project releases post-testing and signoff. Develop business metrics and statistical analyses to monitor departmental performance and program outcomes. Create training guides and conduct sessions for internal and external clients as needed. Support multiple projects simultaneously in a Sprint/Agile environment, ensuring alignment across shared IT resources. Identify opportunities to improve standardized best practices and service delivery across the organization. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a SaaS software business/product analyst, ideally within the insurance or claims industry. Prior experience working in Agile teams, capturing business requirements, and translating them into software specifications. Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis, functional testing, and requirement gathering. Excellent organizational, analytical, and administrative skills with high attention to detail. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Self-motivated, independent, and dependable with strong documentation capabilities. Familiarity with Sprint processes, Scrum practices, and project management methodologies. Certifications such as Scrum Master or Agile Product Owner are a plus. Benefits: Competitive annual salary range of $85,000–$90,000. Full-time position, Monday to Friday, standard business hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM).
