PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong object-oriented programming background and C/C++ skills
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail
• Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs
• Experience with GPU programming technologies HIP is a plus
• Strong understanding of GPU architecture and computer system architecture
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating system development
• Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Developer Tools team, where you will contribute to the development and optimization of GPU profiling tools for high-performance computing environments and ML workloads. You will work alongside a team of skilled engineers, collaborating to enhance the profiling tools’ capabilities and support broader strategic projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies
• Design and develop high-quality software tools for GPU profiling
• Optimize the performance of GPU profiling tools and systems
• Stay informed of software and hardware developments, especially pertaining to latest algorithms and architecture, and help enhance libraries and tools in ROCm
• Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring ups
• Debugging/fixing existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners
