As a Sr Software Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing a team of software engineers in the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of software solutions, ensuring high quality and timely completion of projects. Your leadership and technical expertise will contribute to the success of our software development initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Negotiating and monitoring availability of resources.
- Building a work breakdown structure.
- Documenting plans and identifying key components.
- Selecting appropriate project methodology (software life cycle).
- Estimating cost and effort to completion.
- Managing risks – determining impact and handling.
- Monitoring development progress.
- Scheduling – creating a schedule and key milestones.
- Selecting project metrics.
- Selecting project management tools and processes.
- Tracking compliance with processes.
- Using metrics to track project progress.
- Upon completion, documenting performance against objectives, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Interaction with external customers may be required for some projects. Some travel possible (less than 5%).
